Dan David was raised in a conservative Jewish home in Tel-Aviv, Israel. In 1988, when he was ten, his family moved to Montreal, Canada. As his music career began blossoming, Dan relocated to Toronto, Canada. Before Dan was called to enter into full-time music ministry, he rose to prominence as a secular Celtic-rock and classical violinist, playing and entertaining on some of the world’s most prominent stages with thousands in attendance (Air Canada Centre, Roy Thompson Hall, Rogers Centre). In the past, Dan was also first violinist of the West Island Symphony (Montreal).  At age twenty, Dan was offered a major label secular record deal that would have propelled him into a career of writing and performing mainstream music.

After an encounter with Yeshua, the living Torah, in the year 2000, Dan realized that his musical talent was a gift from G-d. He realized that G-d was calling him to lay aside his pursuits of secular music to dedicate his talent to Adonai.  When Dan was first considering his call in ministry he was introduced to the body of Messianic believers by the MJAA and was asked to join messianic pioneer Marty Goetz on a nationally televised broadcast.  He was then asked to share  his testimony on CBN (Pat Robertson).  Dan also worked with Ted Pearce, travelling with Canadian-based ministry, “House of David.” 

These experiences and the prophetic words spoken by a number of international leaders led Dan to pray and fast, realizing that God wanted him to take this call to music ministry seriously.  This involved closing a successful music teaching business.

Today, Dan's primary focus is drawing others closer to Adonai. Dan and wife Melissa currently travel across North America inviting others to join them on a journey of worship: from exuberant, Celtic-flavoured praise to reverent Hebraic worship. Through their original music, scripture meditations and testimony, Dan and Melissa desire to invite others into the presence of Almighty God and to encourage those who don't know Yeshua to seek after Him as the fulfillment of the prophetic Scriptures. With the story of their courtship and marriage, they also seek to inspire youth with a message of purity and waiting on Adonai for the right spouse.

Together, Dan and Melissa weave a rich musical tapestry of virtuoso celtic violin and inspiring piano melodies -- all to the glory of Yeshua, the King.

Dan and Melissa are also co-founders of Hoshiana Publishing Inc., their own messianic publishing label that will be used to share materials such as music, holiday cards and DVDs with the message of Yeshua.
